Many clients prefer to pay out-of-pocket without using insurance.
This option offers:

  • Maximum privacy

  • No diagnosis required

  • Complete flexibility in how we work

You can pay before or after each session using:

đź“‘ Evaluation Payment Policy

Full payment is required prior to scheduling any psychological evaluation. This ensures dedicated time is reserved for testing, scoring, and report preparation.

Insurance is not accepted for evaluations. However, a receipt or superbill can be provided upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement..

⏱️ Timeline Disclaimer:

Expedited reports may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may include an additional fee depending on turnaround time and availability.

đź§ľ Using Insurance (In-Network & Out-of-Network)

I currently accept Aetna and Optum in-network for clients located in:

  • Florida

If you're in either of those states and have one of those plans, I’ll handle all billing directly. You’ll just pay your copay or coinsurance—no paperwork or claim submission on your end.

For Colorado, Hawaii and Michigan, I’m considered an Out-of-Network (OON) provider.
If you have a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) insurance plan, you may still receive 50–80% reimbursement of the session cost after your deductible is met.

Out-of Network (OON) Clients Have Two Options:

✉️ 1. Submit Claims Yourself

After each session, I provide a superbill. You submit this to your insurance company and they reimburse you directly (usually within 2–4 weeks).

⚡ 2. Let Thrizer Handle It

Thrizer Automates the Entire Process, which means no paperwork. Thrizer reimbursement time (on avg. 7-14 days), around 2x faster.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Create a Thrizer account

  2. Securely save your credit card info

  3. Enable autopay (optional)

    • Your copay or coinsurance is automatically charged after each session. There is no need to log in or manage payments manually.

Thrizer will:

  • Charge your card for your portion of the session

  • Pay me the full session rate upfront

  • Submit the claim to your insurance for reimbursement

🔸 Haven’t Met Your Deductible?

  • You pay the full session fee through Thrizer

  • Thrizer submits the claim so it counts toward your deductible

  • No fees from Thrizer in this mode

🔸 Deductible Met, Pay Full (Thrizer = Submission Only)

  • You (the client) still pay the full session fee up front
    (e.g. $200)

  • Thrizer submits the claim for you

  • Insurance reimburses YOU directly

  • Thrizer takes a 1% fee from the amount you get reimbursed
    (So if you get $160 back from insurance, they take $1.60)

đź§  Why use this mode?
Because you don’t want to deal with claim forms or insurance calls—but you’re okay fronting the full fee and waiting for reimbursement.

🔸 Deductible Met, Use Thrizer Pay (True Copay Mode)

  • You only pay your copay or coinsurance up front
    (e.g., $40 on a $200 session with 20% coinsurance)

  • Thrizer pays your provider (you) the full $200 right away

  • They bill the insurance and collect the rest directly

  • Thrizer charges a 5% fee based on the full session rate
    (So in this case, $10)

đź§  Why use this mode?
Because the client wants zero upfront hassle and prefers to only pay what they owe, like a normal in-network copay experience.
