Payment and Insurance Options

Many clients prefer to pay out-of-pocket without using insurance.
This option offers:

  • Complete flexibility in how we work

You can pay before or after each session using:

    Card payment is available via Stripe or through the Simple Practice client portal, depending on the service.

    Receipts and superbills can be provided for insurance reimbursement if needed.

📑 Evaluation Payment Policy

Full payment is required prior to scheduling any psychological evaluation. This ensures dedicated time is reserved for testing, scoring, and report preparation.

Insurance is not accepted for evaluations. However, a receipt or superbill can be provided upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement..

⏱️ Timeline Disclaimer:

Expedited reports may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may include an additional fee depending on turnaround time and availability.

🧾 Using Insurance (Out-of-Network / PPO Plans)

I’m considered an Out-of-Network (OON) provider. If your insurance plan has OON benefits (typically PPOs), you may get partial reimbursement.

You have two options for using your insurance:

✉️ 1. Submit Claims Yourself

If you prefer to handle it on your own, I’ll provide a superbill after each session. You submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement. Timelines vary, but reimbursement typically takes 2–4 weeks.

⚡ 2. Let Thrizer Handle It

To simplify things, I use Thrizer — a platform that manages insurance claims for you. No paperwork, no phone calls, no insurance portals.

Depending on where you are with your deductible, there are three possible outcomes:

🔸 1. You haven’t met your deductible yet

You pay the full session fee up front and Thrizer submits the claim so it counts toward your deductible. You won’t get reimbursed yet, but it helps you reach your deductible faster.

There is No fee to use Thrizer in this mode.

🔸 2. You’ve met your deductible but prefer to pay full

You pay the full session fee up front. Thrizer submits the claim and you’re reimbursed directly by your insurance — usually within 1–3 weeks. Thrizer charges a small 1% fee from the reimbursed amount.

🔸 3. You’ve met your deductible and use Thrizer Pay

You pay only your copay or coinsurance (like $20–$50). Thrizer pays me the full session fee up front and they handle all the insurance claims for you. Thrizer charges a 5% fee (based on my session rate).

💡 Example:

If a session is $200 and your plan has 20% coinsurance:

You pay $40 at the time of session, thrizer pays me the full $200. Thrizer adds a 5% fee = $10

Your total out-of-pocket: $50
